Volunteer of the Month – Bryan Grainger
Bryan Grainger is the Owner of The Creative Toolbox, a firm focused on strategic communications to promote clients’ businesses through both traditional and digital media channels. The firm delivers quality strategy, digital, social media and copywriting services to clients in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
At the AMA, Bryan serves both on the Marketing Communications and Professional Development Committees where he assists in the development and promotion of chapter events. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys training and acting as an assistant instructor in TaeKwonDo year round at the Cincinnati TaeKwonDo Academy and playing ultimate frisbee in the summer.

April, 2010 – Michael Loban

Michael Loban is a Marketing Officer at InfoTrust, LLC, a digital marketing agency that specializes in social media marketing, PPC, web analytics, web development and social recruiting. Michael conducts dozens of trainings and seminars on various aspects of digital marketing and web analytics. Additionally, over the past year and a half, Michael has delivered free classes to over a thousand people in transition helping them utilize social media and online tools in their job search. His free monthly classes at Great Oaks and Symmes Township Library are open to all people in transition, and are always booked well in advance.
Michael is a Chair of the Social Media Committee at the AMA. Whether promoting Chapter initiatives, marketing new events, sharing information, spreading the word about the organization or connecting with other groups, this committee is always trying to take advantage of the new social media tools. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing tennis, and prepares for his second Flying Pig marathon.
March, 2010 – Caroline Parish and Susan (Sally) Weekley
Caroline Parish is Director of Business Development for BI – The Business Improvement Company. BI is a 60-year-old performance improvement company with 23 field offices. BI helps their Fortune 1,000 customers improve results by changing attitudes and behaviors. They use the disciplines of analytics, learning, goal-setting, communications, live marketing, meetings & events, awards, and measurement. These tools can be applied to change the behavior of a Sales or Distribution channel, Employee group or Consumer audience.
Caroline has been volunteering with the Sponsorship Committee to generate new ad revenues for the Membership Directory – and it has been a record year! Caroline also assisted in the launch of our Sales Leadership SIG.
Sally is currently an AMA “member in transition”. She was previously employed as a senior Marketing Specialist at the Procter & Gamble Company. She delivered outstanding project management results, encompassing a robust variety of projects on two brands: Pharmacy and NyQuil/ DayQuil; as well as Marketing Specialist for total Personal Health Care. She was consistently rewarded for her excellence in project management, including the P&G Sector Outstanding Achievement Award; P&G HealthCare Marketing Project Excellence Award; and awarded P&G Stock Recognition Shares for Outstanding Leadership. Prior to P&G, she was employed as a Professional Technical Recruiter.
Sally volunteers on the Membership Committee and has also volunteered with the Sponsorship Committee to generate record breaking advertising sales for the 2010 AMA Membership Directory.
February, 2010 – Mindy Rosen

Mindy Rosen is the Senior Vice President, Communications and Marketing for Downtown Cincinnati Inc. where she drives the strategy, planning and creative development of a range of consumer and corporate marketing communications, collateral and presentations. Before returning to Cincinnati after a 16 year absence, she served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Downtown Center Business Improvement District in Los Angeles, CA, where she developed and managed award winning marketing and communications programs. Prior to that she was Director of Marketing for the Downtown Denver Partnership in Denver, CO.
Mindy earned an MBA in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Miami University. In addition to serving on the Professional Development Committee with the AMA, Mindy is also a member of the Cincinnati USA Communications Alliance, the HYPE Leadership Council of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and the Books by the Banks promotional committee.
January, 2010 – Mike Freeman
Mike Freeman is president of Freeman Communications, a five-year-old public relations, corporate communications and social media agency based in Blue Ash. His firm’s expertise is getting publicity for clients by convincing third parties – especially the media, both traditional and new – to take notice and talk about his clients’ products. He has worked with a wide variety of businesses including Gorilla Glue, Laura’s Lean Beef, Borden, and many local companies who want to be in the news. Before starting his own company, Mike spent five years in public relations at Northlich.
Mike volunteers on the marketing/communications/PR committee where he coordinates publicity for the chapter, including working with reporters on stories which highlight the work of the Cincinnati AMA and its members. He has been active on the committee for two years and believes there are plenty of good stories and interesting perspectives which the AMA can offer to the media.
